Amare Stoudamire punches glass after bad loss to the Miami Heat
On may 30th, 2012 the Miami Heat beat the New York Knicks 104-94 in the 1st round of the playoffs to go up in the series 2-0. That's not the real storyline. After the game the Knicks Amare Stoudamire punched the glass of a fire extinguisher out of frustration. When he did this he cut open his hand. They had to bring paramedics in there and they gave him stitches on his hand right there in the locker room. Sources say he will be out for at least 1 game, but he is probably out for the rest of the series. He is a big part of what they are trying to do. During the regular season he averaged 17.5 points per game (ppg) and 7.5 rebounds pr game (rpg) He is a 6 time NBA All- Star. He was one of the last drops of hope the Knicks had to beat the Heat. He was supposed to pound inside and not let Lebron James and Dwayne Wade get in the fast break. He was supposed to take some of the load off of Carmelo Anthony's shoulders. He would bring lots of clamor to the fans. Those two were going to try to put the Jeremy Lin injury behind the, but now since a mad superstar made a super mistake. The rest of the team has to step up and fill the void. This will not be easy, because Amare makes a big void with his rebounding and scoring abilities. Although he had feuds with Carmelo, he is a big part of the team. I am just saying that we may not see Amare play again until net season. The New York Knicks are close to an early playoff exit. That might have been the last time that Amare is ever going to wear a Knicks jersey.

When reading this awesome post, I just noticed this (the poem), but this is something I never would've found out on my own. Now I'll know the reason my dad will moan next he watches.
I am supposed to be looking at this post, but i really like how Zen Cricketeer publishes poems in the comments!
ReplyDeleteAlthough I am not quite sure what this post has to do with Florence, I am more aware of what is going on in the basketball life.
ReplyDeleteYou have 2 posts about basketball, yet you play lacrosse.
ReplyDeleteBecause you used the vocab words very clear in this post, it kind of ties the whole story together.
